Some of the Awesome Australian Beaches to go Camping
A very few countries as huge as Australia are not landlocked from any side. It gives this humungous continent a 47000 km-long coastline and makes it one of the countries to have the highest number of beaches.
Beaching is fun but there could be more ways to enjoy the shorelines, and one of them is pitching a tent and anchoring a trailer on the sand. Have you ever considered moving beyond the conventional campsites and campgrounds for your camping getaway?
The Australian coastline could give you scores of beach camping options, but they might run into thousands.
We have handpicked a few amazing beach campsites you would love to go camping to.
Queensland- Located in the north of the Queensland, Noah beach is about 80 km north of Port Douglas. Noah Beach is a beautiful beach campsite having a World Heritage site which is a 130 million-year-old rainforest and a reef. And the campsite sits in between the two. Daintree National Park is located 50 meters away from the beach and is approximately spread in 1200 sq. Mts. of area. The national park has about 90% of the world's butterfly and bat species. The cellular network is very weak, and your cells might not get the network at all. If you are planning to spend some time here, you need to book it in advance.
To the extreme south of Western Australia is Lucky Bay, Le Grand National Park. The white sand beach is a great spot to pitch your tent and the campsite has space for about 22 parties all furnished with toilets, camp kitchens, hot showers, and other basic amenities. Probably the best thing about this beach campsite is you don't have to book in advance, you just turn up and you might be lucky.
All the way to the east coast, just 200 km south from Sydney is the Jervis Bay, Booderee National Park and guess what, it is 9 times bigger than the Deepest Bay of Australia Sydney harbor. It has 25 km of white sand beaches. If you are planning for beach camping in summer, requires booking in advance.
About a 3-hour drive away from Melbourne is Johanna beach, on one of the southernmost tips of the Australian continent and the state of Victoria. Adjacent is the Great Otway National park which has 25 tents with basic amenities.
The 4 ravishing beaches with amazing beach campsites are the perfect pick for a longer camping trip. If you are seeking newer camping experiences, these beaches would be best to start with. Pitching at a campsite requires quality awnings and Xtend Outdoors is one of the trusted names in Australia for camping equipment. Check out www.xtendoutdoors.com.au for more.
