All the way to the east coast, just 200 km south from Sydney is the Jervis Bay, Booderee National Park and guess what, it is 9 times bigger than the Deepest Bay of Australia Sydney harbor. It has 25 km of white sand beaches. If you are planning for beach camping in summer, requires booking in advance.
About a 3-hour drive away from Melbourne is Johanna beach, on one of the southernmost tips of the Australian continent and the state of Victoria. Adjacent is the Great Otway National park which has 25 tents with basic amenities.
