5 Easy Breakfasts Recipes For Caravanning
Nothing is more important than food for every organism that roams this earth. And probably humans are the only creatures who need the widest variety of food, mainly because we cannot survive eating the same things. The variety of food is available all the time and almost everywhere, albeit there are situations when this variety gets restricted like on a camping trip.
Although camping trips are adventurous and exciting, the lack of food variety doesn’t exactly stop you from planning them, but you sure miss the variety. But not any longer you would have to miss it, as here 5 amazing breakfast recipes for camping which would not only satiate your desires for a delicious delicacy but are also quick and easy.
Foil Packet Blueberry Breakfast
All you need are a few things:
- half cup milk
- 4 eggs
- Half a cup sugar
- Quarter tsp cinnamon
- Quarter tsp vanilla
- 8 slices of bread
- Aluminum foil
- 1 cup blueberries
- Butter to coat
Cut the bread into cubes. Mix milk and eggs liquid. Pour the mixture of milk and egg liquid over the bread cubes. Stir the solution good (not to the extent that the bread turns into a mash). Now put the blueberries into the mixture. Now take the aluminum foil and coat it with butter so that the mixture doesn’t stick to it. Spoon the mixture onto the foil and slowly fold the foil. Now place the aluminum foil on the campfire griller. Let it cook for 20-25 minutes. Take the foil down and open it. And there is your tasty foil packet blueberry breakfast.
Black Pepper Cheddar Biscuit Burger
What all you need:
- 2 cups of flour
- Salt
- 1 and a half tsp of baking powder
- Half tsp black pepper
- 3 quarter cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 quarter cup milk
- A biscuit pan
- Quarter tsp of black pepper
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and black pepper. After mixing it well, add the shredded cheddar cheese and toss it. After the mixture is thick enough, add milk to it and stir it well. After a while of stirring the mixture would turn into dough. Now knead the dough and then cut round pieces of half inch thickness. The diameter of the biscuit depends on the size of the biscuit molds of the biscuit pan. Grease the biscuit molds before placing the patty on them. Close the lid of the biscuit pan and let it cook for 20-30 minutes on the camping griller. Once the biscuits are ready, slide them into the buns and your black pepper cheddar biscuit burger is ready. You could also cook mini omelets in the biscuit pan and either sandwich them along with the cheddar biscuits in the buns or eat them all alone.
Toad in the hole

Take a large bowl and mix cornmeal, flour, sugar and baking powder and whisk it good. Now add milk and eggs to the mixture and again beat it until the batter becomes thick. Prepare this batter a day ahead and keep in an airtight box.
Just when you are planning to make the meal, broil the sausages on the iron pan. Now take the sausages out and pour the batter that you had kept in the airtight container and heat it up. Now arrange broiled sausages on the batter and cover the pan with an aluminum foil and let it cook for 15-20 minutes. The toad in the hole is ready to be served hot. Cut it and pour some maple syrup over every serving.
Cinnamon biscuit on stick
A cinnamon biscuit on a stick is probably the least time-consuming camping dish.
All you need:
- A quarter cup ground cinnamon
- Half a cup melted butter
- A can of refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup sugar
- A couple of roasting sticks
In order to make twists, you need to take the canned biscuit dough and roll it around the roasting sticks. Once done, roast it over the campfire. Broiling over direct flames is not as easy as it looks. You need to be careful enough, the biscuit should not be undercooked and at the same time you have to make sure it doesn’t burn. Once they are done, keep the biscuits aside and mix sugar and cinnamon. Spread the melted butter on the biscuit and sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon powder on it.
